Internship Programs

Yes — many of our interns are 2nd, 3rd, and final year students from colleges in and around Avadi and Chennai. We offer flexible scheduling (weekday, weekend, and evening slots) so you can complete your internship without disrupting your college attendance. The 1-month and 3-month tracks are especially popular with students who manage both simultaneously.

Our standard internship program is a training-based internship focused on skill development and project experience rather than paid employment. The primary benefit is the verified experience letter, the hands-on project work, and the placement advantage it gives you. For students who complete the program and demonstrate strong skills, there may be opportunities for paid project roles or referrals to partner companies. You'll be assigned to a real project from Day 1 — not a dummy exercise. Depending on your skill track, you could be building features for a web application, writing Python scripts for a data pipeline, configuring cloud infrastructure, or developing a mobile app. You'll use industry tools like Git, JIRA-style task boards, and real codebases. This real-world exposure is exactly what makes our interns stand out in interviews.

Yes — every intern who completes the program receives a verified experience letter from NewGen Wings Technology on company letterhead. The letter mentions the technologies used, the project you worked on, and the duration of your internship. This certificate is recognised by our 50+ hiring partner companies and adds strong credibility to your resume when applying for your first IT job.

Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, or C) is recommended. If you're a beginner, we suggest completing our 2–4 week foundation module first so you can contribute meaningfully to the project. We don't turn away beginners — we help you get ready. Many of our most successful interns started with almost no coding experience and built strong skills within a few weeks of dedicated effort.

Absolutely. Many of our interns receive direct job referrals from NGWT's corporate partner network after demonstrating strong performance. Even if you don't get a direct referral, the experience letter and project portfolio you build during the internship significantly increase your chances in off-campus drives and job applications. Students who combine the internship with one of our certification courses have the highest placement success rate.

We offer both in-person and hybrid internship formats. Students based in Avadi and nearby areas like Poonamallee, Ambattur, Thiruvallur, and northern Chennai typically join us in person at our Gandhi Street centre. Students from farther away can opt for the hybrid track with 2 in-person sessions per week and the rest remote. Contact us to discuss which format suits you best.
